The N7700PRO is a 7-Bay NAS that delivers bleeding edge performance that will knock your socks off. Features include the 10GbE optional card that will allow you to further increase your network bandwidth for optimized data transfers. Total capacity is 14TB currently based on 2TB SATA II drives, and this will increase as larger drives come on the market. Thecus N7700 PRO turned in the best results we have had in the Video HD Playback, whilst in the Office Productivity it fared very well, and this was rounded off with one of the highest scores we have seen in the Copy, Backup and Restore categories, clearly this is a NAS with a superb overall balance that will appeal to a wide audience be it business or home users.

This review highlights some of the salient features that are incorporated in the entire TS-x59 PRO NAS series, as well as detailing the backup options that are critical for achieving redundancy. QNAP has evolved and it remains for us to see if the NAS systems are keeping pace with the changing wind.
